Burn Hypertrophic Scar Profile Based on POSAS Score at Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Hospital Manado

Burn injury is skin damage due to extreme temperature resulting in hypertrophic scar if impaired of wound healing occurs that can impact on the quality life. Evaluation objectively and subjectively including life patient could performed with POSAS score. This study aimed evaluate burn profile based core at Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Hospital Manado. was a retrospective using medical records patients from 2018 2020 Hospital. The results obtained 64 samples. Most were male (75.0%). most dominant age over 21 years (79.7%). frequent cause burns exposure hot water (71.9%) followed by fire (21.9%). undergraduate education level affected type work professional group (62.5%) housewives (18.8%). wounds superficial-middermal degree (71%) superficial (15,6%) deep dermal full thickness (12,5%). Assessment scars score showed almost same between observers patients. In conclusion, evaluation very useful because it depended treatment, duration healing, grading area, length stay.
